On July 29th, Claire Biddiscombe teaches Tiny Voice!
Tiny Voice (a.k.a. Small Voice) is a two-player game, where one player appears on-stage and the other, off-stage, provides the voice of a small object found in the scene. From this starting constraint, the game can then spin out into anything from a quirky buddy comedy to a bittersweet breakup scene. When Tiny Voice is done well, it can be funny, connected, absurd and beautiful… but for inexperienced players, it’s easy to get bogged down in staging and circumstances, and find yourself trapped in a scene that doesn’t go anywhere, physically or emotionally.
