GNATA is Coming Aug 15 & 16!

On August 15th and 16th, WIT will welcome improvisers from Oakville Improv Theatre Company, MOPCO Improv Theatre (Schenectady, New York), and Contemporary Theater Company (Wakefield, Rhode Island), to Ottawa for a weekend of shows, workshops, and community conversations.
The Greater North American TheatreSports Assembly (GNATA) was started in 2023, and has been an annual opportunity for the participating companies to get together and exchange ideas about improv. It’s GNATA festival (get it?), but it will be a lot of fun!
Maestro
We’re kicking things off Friday night with a super-sized Maestro, featuring 16 players from across the four communities, directed by WIT’s Peter Rogers and Claire Biddiscombe. Come cheer on the competitors and help us choose the GNATA Maestro!
Workshops
On Saturday afternoon, we’re hosting two pay-what-you-can workshops:
