And this is just the beginning!
Our Opening Weekend brought in improv-narrative superstars Parallelogramophonograph for three days of shows, classes, and community.
15 folks (including two visitors in from Montreal!) took PGraph's Narrative Intensive: 12 hours of instruction about how to do improvised plays.
Over 70 people came to see an all-star Maestro, and even more came to watch our Saturday-night show, which featured a set from uOttawa's improv team, the world premiere of our new Space Cowboy format, and PGraph's own improvised French Farce!
Everyone had a fabulous time; we're already scheming to bring PGraph back to our fair city in the future.
But no rest for the weary after that: WIT dove right into preparation for the Ottawa Improv Jamboree, Ottawa's annual festival that celebrates local improv! Two of our directors (Claire and Peter) taught workshops; two of our directors (Lindsey and Rich) participated in community panels; and on Saturday night, WIT treated audiences to a hilarious preview of our upcoming show Red Tape! It was a wonderful time all around, and WIT is massively grateful to Patrice Forbes for putting this goliath of an event together.
While we all deserve a nap, the show must go on, because we're only getting started!
