Now that our premiere is behind us, what's next for Wayward Improvised Theatre? It's Maestro! What's Maestro? Maestro is an improv show where you-the-audience give each scene a score. We start with ten players, but as the show goes on, low-scoring players get eliminated... finally there is only one improvisor left, and they are crowned the night's Maestro! Seriously, Maestro is a great chance to see improvisors from across the city perform in all sorts of different styles. It's a show where you can see silent-film-style comedy, followed by musical improv, followed by drama, followed by who can tell the best pun about geese. It has a whimsical, jubilant energy that takes the cast and audience alike on a wild, fun ride.
Come and expreience it for yourself! The show is Saturday, October 19áµ—Ê° at 7pm. For tickets and more information, go here.
Also, if you're an improvisor, we'd love for you to sign up to play in Maestro right here!. For a performer, it's a great chance to practice your short-form chops, get stage time even if you don't have a team, and meet amazing players from around the city. This coming Thursday at 7pm is our Short-Form Workout, and it'd be great to have you there — for [very cheap] tickets and more information, go here.
